In 1936,
the Beartooth Highway opened. The town of Silver Gate was platted,
and in 1937 construction began on the Range Riders Lodge. This
1964 postcard was scanned and contributed by photographer Carter
Gowl. The Range Riders Lodge has been the choice location for
night time fun with live music (ain't no hip hop here), great
dances and a genuine need for "designated drivers".
The lodge changed hands last year, and failed to open for the
2004 season. We're told it will return in full glory for the
2005 season! copyright 2004 |
